COVID-19 deaths and pre-existing conditions.
We have published Pre-existing conditions of people who died due to COVID-19, England and Wales - Office for National Statistics which provides deaths from January 2020 to December 2020 by two age groups in the dataset in Table 2. This is the latest data available and is broken down quarterly and by the number of pre-existing conditions. Unfortunately we do not hold this information broken down by seasons or by month.

.xls .csvNotes:
Based on non-neonatal deaths due to COVID-19; see the Definitions tab for information on our definition of COVID-19.
Numbers exclude one record with ordering anomalies that affect judgement on whether condition pre-existed.
Figures for England and Wales (combined) include deaths of non-residents. However, all other geographical breakdowns exclude deaths of non-residents and boundaries are based on the most up-to-date information available at time of publication.
Figures are for deaths registered in quarter 1 (January to March) 2021. There is a delay between a death occurring and it being registered; for more information see our impact of registration delays bulletin.
Deaths involving COVID-19 for under 18-year olds.
We hold analysis showing the numbers of deaths involving COVID-19 for 1 January 2021 to 30 March 2021 in our latest provisional monthly deaths publication. Data for April 2021 onwards are available in the accompanying Deaths involving COVID-19 by month of registration, UK dataset.
Weekly COVID-19 mortality figures for standard five-year age groups (Under 1; 1-4; 5-9; 10-14; 15-19 and so on) are also available in our provisional weekly deaths publication. Weekly deaths run from a Saturday to a Friday.
Unfortunately, we do not hold analysis for the age range and including pre-existing conditions that you have requested and this is something we have not created in the past due to disclosure risks. We currently publish the number of deaths broken down by standard five-year age categories which are listed above. If we were to create analysis showing the number of deaths under the age of 18, there is a risk that those who have died aged 18 would become identifiable from our 15-19 age bracket as the figure for those aged 18/19 is low. We use five-year age bands to protect the confidentiality of this data, particularly where there are small numbers of deaths. This is in line with our disclosure control policy.
If you wish to discuss our statistics further, please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk.
Hospitalisations and missed medical appointments
Unfortunately, we do not hold the data you have requested. NHS Digital and/or Public Health England (PHE) may be better placed to assist. NHS Digital can be contacted via email at enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk, and by telephone at 0300 303 5678 and you can visit Public Health England's COVID-19 dashboard for more information.
The COVID-19 infection survey (CIS) is a household survey which refers to the number of current COVID-19 infections within the community population; community in this instance refers to private residential households and it excludes those in hospitals, care homes or other institutional settings.
In the dataset accompanying our characteristics bulletin on 30 June 2021, you can find the number and percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 who reported symptoms and who did not report symptoms, on Tab 3a.
