I would like to know the difference in overall deaths of children aged 5-17 from 2020 to 2021, please.

Please see the following link to a dataset showing deaths by single year of age in 2020: Deaths registered in England and Wales. Table 4 (males) and table 5 (females) in this dataset can be used to create age groupings from 5 to 17, as you have requested.
Registered deaths by single year of age in England and Wales for 2021 will be finalised within our Deaths Registered Series in the Summer of 2022. This is to allow late registrations such as Coroner's Inquests to be included in our finalised publications. Please see our Impact of Registration delays release for further information.
However, provisional mortality figures for 2021 by age group can be found in the Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional dataset.
Within the 'weekly figures 2021' tab, data is available by five-year age band.
From 2January 2021 to 26 November 2021 there have been 780 registered all cause deaths in the 5-17 year age band.
