I would like details of any fatal or serious injuries that have happened in outdoor spaces such as mountainous areas, forests, or countryside locations in 2021 and 2022.
My request is for the number of injuries, what types of injuries, regional information and age/gender demographics.

Unfortunately, we do not hold information on serious and life changing injuries.
We are responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. However, unfortunately, the data we receive from the death certificate does not always provide information on the place of the death or where the accident occurred.
NHS Digital may be better placed for requests on accident and emergency admissions for this reason, or mountain rescue groups. They can be contacted at enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk.
