We publish annual estimates on the number of marriages that take place in England and Wales. You can find the most recent edition of this dataset (2019-based) via the following link: Marriages in England and Wales dataset. For 1973 estimates, please see table 1a.
Unfortunately, we do not hold information by date of marriage for 1973. The information we hold for this year only contains the month and year of marriage.
