In our latest dataset that accompanied the article on characteristics of people testing positive for COVID-19, we published information on positivity amongst different occupational groups.

Table 1f looked at positivity amongst key workers and included data for the following sectors:

  • Carehomes
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Protective service occupations
  • Other professions

Table 2a looked at positivity amongst patient and non-patient facing roles.

In the July edition of the characteristics article, we also published data for wider occupational groups, as follows:

  • Managers, directors and senior officials
  • Professional occupations
  • Associate professional and technical occupations
  • Administrative and secretarial occupations
  • Skilled trades occupations
  • Caring, leisure and other service occupations
  • Sales and customer service occupations
  • Process, plant and machine operatives
  • Elementary occupations

This is shown on Figure 3 and the data is in Table 7 of the July dataset.
