Because of processing issues, the calculation of the statistical discrepancy of net lending (+) and net borrowing (-) between financial and capital accounts was not calculated correctly for the time period 1987 to 1997 in the Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2023 release. This has now been rectified and the tables and data are now available. The series affected are as follows.

NYPB: Insurance corporations and pension funds (S128 & S129)
NYOX: Financial corporations (S12)
NZDW: Central government (S1311)

NYPH: Non-profit institutions serving households (S15)
NZDV: Households and Non-profit institutions serving households (S14 and S15)
All series are £million. current price, not seasonally adjusted

We have identified and corrected an error relating to several gross fixed capital formation series for the time period 1987 to 1996 in the Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2023 release. The series affected are as follows -
- DFDK: Dwellings
- DLXI: ICT equipment and other machinery and equipment
- DLXP: Intellectual property products

We have corrected an error that meant that low level quarterly data within this output were incorrect for the period 1997-2019 for current price (CP) data with annual data unaffected. This does not impact on the total trade aggregate series and has no impact on total GDP. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We have corrected an error with dataset identifiers MWB6, MWB7 and CRSF and their associated growth rates in Table 1.1.5B of our UK Economic Accounts dataset, published on 30 September 2025. This happened because of a processing issue.
