We have identified an error within our production of GFCF and Business Investment transport estimates in 2021 Q2 and 2021 Q3. There will be no impact on GDP.
This is because we balance our GDP estimates using an alignment of the different approaches to measuring GDP, so the impact from this error would be offset during our balancing process. This is because the new data increases the level of expenditure and we were previously adjusting up this approach to GDP to align to the other GDP measures. As part of our production process GDP estimates will be updated in-line with the National Accounts revision policy in the next release on 22nd December 2021.

Due to improved data quality we are now able to publish data back prior to 2006 for the following series and have updated this on our website: KLH7, KLH8, KLH9 and KLS2. Please note this series starts from 1997.

A problem has been highlighted with publishing the following full time series in the PN2 dataset: AAXW, CTVT, CTVU, JJDC, JJDH, JJDS, JJDU, JJDZ, JJG4, KSP3, KSP4, KSP5, KSP6, KSP7, KSQ2, KSQ3, KSR5, KSR6, KSR7, KSR8, KSR9, KSS4, KSS5 and LGCN. The latest periods displayed are updated, however we recommend using our GDP – data tables where these series are fully available. We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
