Set ddata UK total trade: all countries, non-seasonally adjusted

An error has been corrected, and this affects our UK total trade: all countries, seasonally adjusted dataset and our UK total trade: all countries, non-seasonally adjusted dataset.

This occurred because of a processing error that meant incomplete geography data were used to allocate trade in services to countries and regions. We have reviewed our processes and updated them accordingly to mitigate the risk of this reoccurring.

All countries and regions for services were affected by this error, for both imports and exports back to Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024.

An error has been identified that affects:

• our UK total trade: all countries, non-seasonally adjusted dataset

• our UK total trade: all countries, seasonally adjusted dataset

This occurred because of a processing error that meant incomplete geography data were used to allocate trade in services to countries and regions. The impacts of the error are small and are less than £60 million at EU and non-EU level.

All countries and regions for services and total trade estimates are affected for both imports and exports, back to Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024. There is no impact on trade in goods estimates. Total world services and trade are correct, and consistent with other published estimates.
