1. Introduction

Each year, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) organises a collection of online research events called the Research Excellence Series. The series showcases exceptional research projects that use a diverse wealth of invaluable research data. These data are used by researchers to produce new insights, inform change and make a difference in people’s lives.

This year, we have invited presenters from the ADR UK Conference 2023.

The ADR UK Conference took place in Birmingham in November 2023. The event brought together 400 researchers and other professionals working for the public good. Presentations spanned an array of themes, from health outcomes to the justice system.

We are looking forward to this year’s series of talks, which include the event’s oral presentation award winners and the authors of the most popular abstracts from the conference. The abstracts are published on the International Journal of Population Data Science website. We are also delighted to invite the conference keynote speakers to discuss a project that they are currently working on.

On this page, you can learn more about this year’s programme of insightful talks and how to book your place.
