I would like to see the latest breakdown of all unemployed people, by age, ethnicity and gender.
Can you also show how long these demographics have been unemployed for.

Thank you for your query regarding breakdowns of unemployment.
We estimate the number of people who are unemployed using the Labour Force Survey, based on interviews with people resident in households in the UK.
Each month we publish a breakdown of Unemployment by age and duration, which also includes a split between men and women.
We also publish a quarterly breakdown of Labour market status by ethnic group, which includes estimates of the numbers unemployed by ethnic group for men and women.
We do not routinely produce a breakdown of the duration of unemployment by ethnic group. It would be possible to request this analysis to be produced by contacting our Social Surveys team via our bespoke services. These services are subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources, and an agreement of costs. As this information is reasonably accessible via another route, even if only on payment, the exemption found under s.21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) applies.
