I'd like to know 1) the statistics of suicides attributed to mental illness as a percentage of all suicides and 2) a breakdown of the number of suicides into percentage attributed to specific mental health condition.

We publish regular statistics on suicides in England and Wales on the ONS website. These statistics are derived from information provided when deaths are certified and registered.
We do not receive any information on whether the deceased had a mental health condition. As a result, it is unfortunately not possible for us to provide statistics on suicides by specific mental health condition.
