a. Who provides your WAN and internet connectivity and the annual spend on each?

WAN – BT – £497,803.91pa. Internet – HSO provide links; (x4 links at 10gb each) – £73,080.00pa.

b. Who provides your SIP trunks and what is the annual spend?

Freedom Telecomms/GCI – £350,853. Please note that an itemised in a managed service cost cannot be provided.

c. Who provides your WAN services, is this MPLS, SD WAN or Internet, and what is the annual spend?

BT MPLS –WAN – BT – £497,803.91pa.

d. Who provides your LAN infrastructure and what is your annual spend?

Tech is Cisco, all bought/installed/configured/managed by ONS with breakfix support direct with Cisco (support costs - £258,940pa).

e. Who provides your WIFI infrastructure and what is your annual spend?

Wifi is Cisco – it is all bought/installed/configured/managed by ONS with breakfix support direct with Cisco and is not separated out in cost terms.

f. Please confirm the manufacturer(s) of your wired network core and edge switching?

Cisco

g. When was your core network installed?

No single date is appropriate or applicable' some core circa 2016, other in subsequent years; it rolls forward.

h. Has it been updated subsequently?

Please see 'g'.

i. Who maintains your core network?

Everything except break fix is done in house; break fix is with Cisco.

j. When is the contract renewal date?

Expiry of Cisco support contract is 31/07/2023.

k. Please confirm value of the initial project?

WAN, Wifi, Core, Edge. Distribution, server farm, internet - there is not an initial project – the services have evolved since the early mid 1990s and been enhanced/improved/updated/upgraded as service components reach EOL or support contracts end.

l. Please confirm the value of annual support/maintenance services (in £)?

The annual cost of support/maintenance services is £10.1m. These costs incurred during the period 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022 for the whole office.
