Unfortunately we are unable to provide an update of the dataset referenced in your request. This dataset was created using a legacy system and would need to be re-coded and significantly manipulated in order to be reproduced. The resulting output would then need to be put through significant disclosure control as this is not a regular publication. Therefore, in order to fulfil this request, we would need to create new information, involving a high level of statistical skill and judgement. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. This information therefore is not held for FOI purposes.
As an alternative, our coordination team within Subnational Statistical and Analysis/ONS Local may be able to produce this, or something similar, as a bespoke output for you. Such services are subject to legal frameworks, resources, internal priorities and an agreement of costs. If you would like to discuss the provision of this data as a bespoke dataset, please contact ons.local@ons.gov.uk or subnational@ons.gov.uk to discuss your enquiry further. Please note, any charge for this work would be subject to our charging policy.
Another option you may find useful is the UK Business Counts provided on NOMIS. This dataset provides counts on the number of enterprises and local units at the MSOA level for all industry groups.
