Years 2020, 2019 & 2018 For U.K. (England & Wales):-

We publish headline annual figures for the UK within our Vital statistics in the UK: births, deaths and marriages. The latest data available in this publication is 2019.

We responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration.

Provisional 2020 totals and a weekly breakdown of mortality data in 2018, 2019 and 2020 in Scotland and Northern Ireland would need to be requested from National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA). They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively. Total 2020 figures for England and Wales:

According to the following bulletin, Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional, using data up to the w/e 1 January 2021 (week 53), we can confirm that there have been 614,114 deaths registered in England and Wales.
