You asked

Of the deaths that have mentioned COVID-19 on the death certificate in Week 13, could you provide (preferably by PDF if you are using an attachment) a breakdown of how many of the 634 deaths were registered in England and how many were registered in Wales? 

Also the percentage and death numbers of however many in England record COVID-19 as underlying cause of death, and what percentage of the Wales registered deaths, and how many record COVID-19 as underlying cause?

Thank you for your request. 

Using table 6 of Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional from 25 March to 31 March 2023 (week 13) there were 634 deaths registered involving COVID-19. In England there were 599 (94%) deaths registered and in Wales there were 35 (6%) deaths registered. 

Of the 634 deaths registered in week 13 in England and Wales, 432 (68%) were registered with COVID-19 as the underlying cause of death.  Of these, there were 408 (94%) deaths registered in England and 24 (6%) registered in Wales.
