Thank you for your request.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) regularly reviews both our statistical development programme and our schedule of statistics and analysis to ensure we can maintain our focus on quality.
Following a review of ONS priorities in summer 2023, it was agreed that development and maintenance of the Violence against women and girls (VAWG) dashboard would be paused. This meant that the official launch did not go ahead in November 2023, as originally planned. On 1 April 2024, the dashboard was taken down and is no longer accessible because of the data becoming increasingly out of date. Currently, there are no plans to reinstate the dashboard.
However, we remain committed to producing statistics on VAWG and have continued working on many strands within our VAWG programme of work. For information of what this includes, please refer to Section 3: Future developments in our Violence against women and girls: research update November 2023 article. We will be publishing updated figures for our Domestic abuse in England and Wales overview on 27 November 2024. Additionally, we will be publishing a research update on our Redevelopment of domestic abuse statistics on 3 December 2024.
If you have any further England and Wales crime-related queries please email crimestatistics@ons.gov.uk.
