I would like to request the number of times ‘Sarah’s Law’ has been used per police force, successful and unsuccessful applications, applications resulting in referral to social services, by date for the last 3 years.

We said

Thank you for your request relating to use of Sarah’s Law in the last three years. 

Unfortunately, we do not hold the information that you have requested. We publish data relating to crime statistics from two main sources: The Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and crime recorded by the police. The CSEW is a victimisation survey, and police recorded crime covers the offences reported to and recorded by the police. 

Statistics relating to Sarah’s Law may be held by the Home Office, and they may be able to provide further assistance. They can be contacted at CrimeandPoliceStats@homeoffice.gov.uk. The Ministry of Justice may also hold statistics relating to Sarah’s Law. They can be contacted at ESD@justice.gov.uk

Each police force may also hold data on Sarah’s Law and could be contacted individually. Their contact information can be found on the Police UK website.
