Thank you for your enquiry into the access of Generational income: The effects of taxes and benefits for the years 2023 and 2024 and Distribution of individual total wealth by characteristic in Great Britain for the years 2021 through to 2024.

These publications have been discontinued, so we do not hold updated versions of the outputs.

The Generational income publication is based on data from the Household Finance Survey (HFS). Estimates from the HFS currently cover up to 2024. The Individual total wealth publication is based on data from the Wealth and Assets Survey (WAS), with latest data covering the period April 2020 to March 2022.

The latest WAS microdata can be accessed under End User Licence (EUL) via the UK Data Service (UKDS): EUL WAS Data. Please email wealth.and.assets.survey@ons.gov.uk if you'd like further information on using the dataset and restrictions around commercial use.

Source microdata from the HFS for the years 2023 and 2024, which the Effects of Taxes and Benefits publication is based on, is planned for release on the UKDS later this year. When available, the microdata can be accessed here: EUL: Effects of Taxes and Benefits on Household Income. If you have any further questions about accessing this data when available, please email hie@ons.gov.uk.
