Thank you for your query regarding demographic breakdowns of unemployment.
The ONS measures unemployment through the Labour Force Survey, based on interviews with people resident in households in the UK.
Each month we publish tables breaking down unemployment by sex and age. In addition, each quarter we publish a wider set of tables covering further demographics, such as ethnicity, country of birth and nationality. All our tables are available on the ONS website.
