Thank you for your request.

The COVID-19 Infection Survey is a household survey that estimates the number of people testing positive for infection and for antibodies in the UK. The survey began on 26 April 2020, so we do not hold any data prior to this date. Our statistics refer to individuals in the community, by which we mean private households. These figures exclude infections reported in hospitals, care homes or other institutional settings.

You can find the estimated daily rates of the percentage of the population testing positive for COVID-19 by age/school year in England on tab 1h in the dataset accompanying our weekly bulletin. You can see datasets covering an earlier period in our dataset series. You can find the modelled daily rates of the percentage of the population testing positive for COVID-19 by single year of age in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland on tab 1e of the respective datasets for WalesNorthern Ireland and Scotland accompanying our weekly bulletin.

You may be interested in our analysis on the likelihood of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 from nose and throat swabs in England, from 25 February to 16 May 2021, by self-reported disability status. This is the closest data we hold to your requested analysis of COVID-19 infections by underlying health condition. Unfortunately, we do not hold this analysis by age.

Public Health England (PHE) also produce information regarding COVID-19 infections and therefore may also be able to help with your query. They can be contacted via email at wn_coronavirus@phe.gov.uk.
