You have made a Freedom of Information request, from the 2011 Census, for a breakdown of the number of Travellers in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, by age group.

We have a statutory responsibility to carry out the census in England and Wales. In Scotland the census is the responsibility of National Records of Scotland (NRS). In Northern Ireland the census is the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA).

In England and Wales we have published a table entitled 2011 Census Table DC2101EW – Ethnic group by sex by age - containing 2011 Census data for the category ‘White: Gypsy and Irish Traveller’. For your convenience a copy of the table is provided.

The table is available from the Nomis website via this link https://www.nomisweb.co.uk/census/2011/dc2101ew. If you wish to refine your search, please use the 'Query data' button.

While the NOMIS website contains a selection of UK tables, including a UK ethnic group table, it is not cross referenced with age.
