Can you please provide (i) the total number of deaths per year in the Chingford Green ward, and (ii) the total number of deaths from cancer per year in the Chingford Green ward, for as far back as this data is readily available?

Thank you for your enquiry regarding annual deaths in Chingford Green Ward by all cause and specific causes.

We hold the following ad hoc data sets, which include all cause deaths by ward, including Chingford Green:

• Death registrations by ward, London: 2008 to 2018

• Number of deaths by ward, England, 2000 to 2017

• Deaths by Ward, England and Wales, 2014

• Deaths by Ward, England and Wales, 2014

• Deaths from cancer by place of occurrence, aggregated ward areas, England, 2018 registrations

• Deaths from all causes and cancer by place of death, specific wards, England, 2016 registrations

• Deaths from all causes and cancer by place of death, specific wards, England, 2015 registrations

• Death registrations by age group, local authority and ward, England, 2019

Our NOMIS webservice will also provide deaths in by MSOA (Middle Super Output Area) in the Waltham Forest geography by specific cause, age and sex from 2013-2020. Please see the following instructions for using this service:

• Select dates from 2013-2020 or all.

• Select the geography (Select by Super output area – Mid Layer).  

• Select Age – All ages or 5-year age bands.  

• Select Gender – Total or Male/Female  

• Select rates – All deaths, rates or percentage of population for example.  

• Select cause of death (ICD10 code search is available; you can search for cancer deaths using LC02 or select individual ICD-10 codes).  

• Select format (Excel or CSV for example)
