For the dates 01/03/20 to 28/05/20, please state how many of those who have died from COVID-19 were smokers.

Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you have requested. Our mortality data is taken from information collated on the death certificate and unfortunately, smoking habits are not recorded as part of this process.
The following publication: Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales: deaths occurring in April 2020 shows some pre-existing conditions that could be attributed to smoking, but it will not categorically state if the deceased smoked.
