Thank you for your request.
We publish regular statistics on suicides in England and Wales. These statistics are derived from information provided when deaths are certified and registered. Our publication Suicides in England and Wales by Local Authority provides suicides for Birmingham as a whole.
Unfortunately, we only hold data up to 2023 but more updated figures will be published later this year.
We also have not created the requested further breakdowns of this information.
We do not receive any information on whether the deceased had previously self-harmed before the suicide occurred. As a result, it is not possible to provide statistics on suicides by self-harm prevalence.
Statistics on hospital admissions related to self-harm are available from NHS England.
