The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) is a common classification of occupational information for the UK. Occupations defined using the Standard Occupation Classification (v.2010). For information on the classification hierarchy please see SOC 2010.
We only hold mortality data for England and Wales, data for Scotland and Northern Ireland can be requested from National records of Scotland and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research agency respectively.
Special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate). Such enquiries should be made to: health.data@ons.gov.uk.
