You asked:

I am interested in the statistics from the most recent studies which can tell me the race and religion of offenders of sexual violence (specifically rape).

We said:

Thank you for your enquiry.

We hold data which relates to the number of crimes recorded by the police and measured by the Crime Survey for England and Wales. We do not hold data which relates to offenders or offending, and therefore we are unable to provide any statistics on the race and religion of offenders of sexual violence.

The Ministry of Justice publishes a range of statistics relating to the operation of the criminal justice system and may be able to provide more assistance in relation to your enquiry. Their email address is statistics.enquiries@justice.gsi.gov.uk.

For information you may be interested to see the Ministry of Justice report titled ‘Statistics on Race and the Criminal Justice System 2014’ which compiles statistics from data sources across the Criminal Justice System to provide a combined perspective on the typical experiences of different ethnic groups in England and Wales. The report provides information on offender characteristics and a breakdown by offence group, including sexual offences.
