We said

  1. Estimates of the number of self-employed people are available back to 1992 at data table EMP01. Estimates before 1992 are are not held

  2. ONS does not hold any information relating to the number of self-employed people who do not pay tax

  3. UK population estimates for 1960-2013 are published as Table 003198: UK Population Estimates 1851-2013 on the ONS website

    ONS does not currently hold population estimates for 2014. These will be produced in 2015 and published in June 2015. If you have any queries regarding population estimates please contact pop.info@ons.gov.uk

  4. ONS publishes estimates of Long-Term International Migration (LTIM) for 1991 – 2014 on its website

    ONS publishes estimates of long-term international migration from the International Passenger Survey for 1975 – 2014

    A limited number of IPS tables in Excel format and pdfs of historically published IPS tables for the years 1964-1974 aren’t published on the website but are available on request*. I have attached the most relevant of these in Annex A
