Please provide the following where possible:
All details of the sample population you have used as your data for national crime statistics for year ending June 2025. Please provide as much as possible but not limited to:
- Location or locations of the people surveyed (as granular as possible)
- Number of people within the sample, relative to locations where necessary
- Age range of those within the sample, relative to locations where necessary
- Plus any other identifiable characteristics of the sample without breaking privacy laws

The core sample is designed to be representative of the population of households in England and Wales and people living in those households. Therefore, the age range and other personal characteristics of individuals have a probability of selection equal to those characteristics in the true population. Section 2.2 of our User guide to crime statistics for England and Wales provides information about our sample, its design and representation.
