Please provide the percentage of homeowners who have had to sell the family home in order to pay off inheritance tax.

Unfortunately, we do not hold the data you have requested on the percentage of homeowners have had to sell the family home in order to pay off inheritance tax.
Although we do collect information through the Wealth and Assets Survey on inheritance, including on what respondents did with property they have inherited, we do not collect information on the reasons for those decisions.
