You asked

I am trying to source the salary statistics for veterinary radiologists in the UK. These vets are European Board Specialists (similar to a human consultant to try and give a comparable).

I am aware you have statistics for first opinion veterinarians in the UK, however, do you have other statistics available for clinicians who are European Specialists as their salaries are considerably higher? Or who should I speak to about this?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding salary statistics for veterinary radiologists in the UK.

The Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE), carried out in April each year, is the most comprehensive source of earnings information in the United Kingdom. ASHE is based on a 1% sample of employee jobs taken from HM Revenue and Customs' Pay As You Earn (PAYE) records. Consequently, individuals with more than one job may appear in the sample more than once. ASHE does not cover the self-employed or employees not paid during the reference period. ASHE information relates to gross pay before tax, National Insurance or other deductions, and excludes payments in kind.

Unfortunately, we do not collect the level of information you have requested, however, the ONS publishes median salary by occupation in ASHE table 14.7a.

Data are available here for years from 1997 to 2024. The earnings data are split into many occupations, defined by the standard occupational classification (SOC). In depth definitions as to what is included in each occupation code can be found on the ONS website. Radiologists are included in specialist medical practitioners (2212), but there are also many other job titles included within this code.
