I understand that there are nationally-applied salary scales for academics in UK universities. e.g. the minimum and maximum amount that a lecturer/senior lecturer/professor at a UK university would be paid.
Please disclose what academics in UK universities were paid between 1964 and 1985, so if possible we'd like to see these salary scales for the years 1964 to 1985.

The New Earnings Survey (NES) is the predecessor of the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) which is considered the most comprehensive source of earnings information in the UK.
We do not hold information regarding pay scales, however, NES estimates of median earnings and percentiles by occupation are available from 1970 to 1996.
NES estimates are also available for the mean earnings by occupation from 1970 to 1996:
Unfortunately, we do not have any relevant information by occupation from 1964 to 1969.
