Thank you for your request for estimates derived from the Wealth and Assets Survey (WAS).

The information you have requested is available to order via a user request to our Wealth and Assets Survey inbox. Such services are subject to legal frameworks, resources and agreement of costs. If you would like to request this bespoke dataset, please contact wealthandassetssurvey@ons.gov.uk to discuss your enquiry further. Please note, there will be a charge for this work which would be subject to our charging policy, and this work would need to be booked in when our team capacity allows. We would be happy to discuss this with you further via the address listed above.

As this information is reasonably accessible via another route, even if only accessible on payment, Section 21(2)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) applies.

We also provide WAS data under End User Licence (EUL) via the UK Data Service (UKDS) which can be accessed here: EUL WAS Data. We have reviewed your request alongside the data provided under EUL and we believe this analysis would be possible for the age grouping 55 to 69. This is because ages that are available on the EUL dataset are in 5-year groupings, while your request for data for those aged 55 to 70 spans 16 years. Please email wealthandassetssurvey@ons.gov.uk if you'd like further information on using the dataset (including guidance where estimates might be based on small sample sizes) and restrictions around commercial use.
