I wish to submit a freedom of information request to the organisation with regards to their current recycling and waste support and maintenance contracts.

• Waste Transfer & MRF (Materials recovery facility)

1. ONS waste is managed by Mitie Facilities Services Limited as part of a Total Facilities Management contract

3. The waste disposal cost for the ONS Estate in 2014-15 was £99,034

   272 tonnes of Waste recycled externally (excl. ICT waste)

   0 tonnes Waste reused externally (excl. ICT waste)

   5 tonnes of ICT waste recycled externally

   2 tonnes of ICT waste reused externally

   24 tonnes of Waste composted or sent to anaerobic digestion

   70 tonnes of Waste incinerated with energy recovery

   TOTAL ICT WASTE - 7 tonnes

   TOTAL WASTE NOT TO LANDFILL - 373 tonnes

   TOTAL WASTE SENT TO LANDFILL - 69 tonnes

   TOTAL WASTE - 442 tonnes

4. Handling and disposing of waste appropriately in accordance with the waste management aims set out in the Authority’s Sustainable Development policy statement and extending recycling and recovery schemes to assist the Authority in meeting Government waste targets

5. The Total Facilities Management contract will have had a duration of 8 years when it expires on 31st March 2016
