You asked

Please provide any data you hold relating to the prices of illicit drugs, specifically cocaine, cannabis and heroin in the UK by region, by local authority. If this could be made available as a time series, this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your enquiry about data relating to the prices of illicit drugs. Unfortunately we do not hold the data you require.

The only data relating to drug related crime published by us can be found in our latest quarterly publication ‘Crime in England and Wales, year ending June 2017’ and relates to the number of police recorded crimes for drug possession and trafficking. These data can be accessed under the following link and are available at England and Wales level (see Appendix table A4) as well as at Police Force Area level and Community Safety Partnership Area (which equates in the majority of instances to local authorities):

I have contacted colleagues at the Home office who are also unfortunately unable to help with your enquiry. However you may be interested to know that the main source of data on drugs prices is in the UK’s Annual Focal Point report on drugs, although this is all at a national rather than local authority level: http://www.nta.nhs.uk/focalpoint.aspx
