I would like to request Freedom of Information regarding COVID-19 positive cases and track and trace numbers issued
Specifically:
- Between dates April 2020 and March 2022
- Liverpool region
- Number of COVID-19 positive patients per month
- Number of track and trace numbers issued in the same month against the +ve cases

Historical data relating to the number of positive COVID-19 tests for the period you require was published by The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). More recent data is published by The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
UKHSA also published information on the NHS Track and Trace system. They will be best to advise you whether the specific correlation information you require is held and publicly available.
Whilst we do hold test and trace and COVID-19 infection survey data, in order to provide you with the figures for positive COVID-19 cases and the track and trace information we would need to link datasets and carry out new analysis. This would involve using a high level of statistical skill and judgement in order to create new information, which we are not obliged to do under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
