Number of households within 10mile radius of Bruton, Somerset with children between the age of 0-10? Number of children aged between 0-10 within a 10 mile radius of Bruton, Somerset?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.

For the number of children aged 0-10 within a 10-mile radius of Bruton, we have used the 2021 Census Custom Data tool to create the file in the associated download named 'Bruton_10_mile graphics.png'. This gives the usually resident population in the output areas contained wholly or partially within a 10-mile (16 kilometre) radius of a point near the centre of Bruton. It also has graphs of the 5-year age group percentages, household size and household composition.

We have also created associated download named 'Bruton_10_mile_Excel.xlsx' which provides the age-group proportions from which you can derive the numbers which fall into the categories you require from the overall population.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to calculate the number of households within a 10-mile radius of Bruton with children aged 0-10. The closest data we hold is located from the 2021 Census dataset named 'Dependent children in household and their age', which provides the numbers of children in household at Middle-layer Super Output Area (MSOA) in Somerset. You can find these data in the associated download 'Bruton_Somerset_MSOA.csv.'
