You asked

We request all of the following data to be segregated by year and gender for the city of Wythenshawe. We also need the same data as % age of the entire number for the city of Manchester, and the entire UK. (Similar to the report here: https://www.nomisweb.co.uk/reports/lmp/wpca/1929380370/printable.aspx). Any other segregation required is specified under the subheading of each of the data requested. The entire time frame of the data required is from 1990 to 2022 (we understand that 2022 is yet to conclude).

2. Number of students per type of school

We need the number of students studying in each type of school categorized into –  

Primary, Secondary and College/A levels

This data is to be further categorized into below –  

Students who went to school

Students who graduated to the next school level

Students who dropped out

We need the number of schools by school type -- Primary, Secondary, College/A levels

4. Labour Demand

Total employee jobs available segregated by

1. Resident population

For the total populations and selected age groups by sex, of Wythenshawe and Sale East, Manchester, Greater Manchester and the UK we have produced data which you can find in the associated Excel file named 'Greater Manchester population data.xlsx'. The latest data available is from the mid-2020 population estimates and the earliest is mid-1991. Data for the Wythenshawe and Sale East Parliamentary constituency is only held back to 2002.

4. Labour demand

The best source of Labour Demand data for the city of Wythenshawe is the annual Business Register and Employment Survey (BRES), a survey of businesses regarding their employment.

The easiest way to access BRES data is through the nomis website from which you have sourced the Labour Market Profile for Wythenshawe and Sale East Parliamentary Constituency.

The data are split into two time periods, one from 2009-2015 and another from 2015 to 2021. Data is held for a variety of geography and industry breakdowns. The closest readily available geography that covers the city of Wythenshawe is the Wythenshawe and Sale East parliamentary constituency, alongside which you can also extract the data you need for Manchester and Great Britain. Data from BRES are not held by sex. Data from 1990-2009 is not held.

9. Crime rate

We do not hold data on all police recorded crime broken down by age or sex of either the victim or offender.

Nor do we hold police recorded crime data at a city geographical level (Wythenshawe) or for the whole of the UK, as crime data for Scotland and Northern Ireland are collected separately by the Scottish Government and the Police Service of Northern Ireland respectively.
