- Total population
- Young people age brackets -0-18 & 18-25 yrs
- % population in public care
- How care is provided- (i.e. government sector provides 80% and the rest is non gov)

Thank you for your request regarding the population of England and Scotland, age groups 0 to 18 and 18 to 25 years old, the proportion in care and how that care is provided.
We published the latest mid-2018 population estimates on 26 June 2019, by single year of age from UK level down to local authority level. Table 1 data has been taken from these estimates.
