You asked
I would like to know of the 9.4 million incidents (crimes) reported in the Office for National Statistics Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) March 2025, how many and what percentage of crimes were committed by migrants and how many and what percentage of crimes were committed by illegal migrants?
We said
Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you have requested.
We produce statistics from two main data sources, the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and Police Recorded Crime (PRC). Our publications and data concern crime as it is experienced by victims, or as it is recorded by the police across England and Wales.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) are primarily responsible for data on offenders and sentencing and may be able to help you with your enquiry. They can be contacted at data.access@Justice.gov.uk. The MoJ also publish statistics every quarter which you may find useful.
The Home Office have some statistics relating to illegal migration and quarterly immigration statistics that may be of interest to you.
If you have any other crime-related enquiries in the future, the ONS Centre for Crime and Justice can be reached at CrimeStatistics@ons.gov.uk.
