In Wales there's a similar, but different local devolved geography for CTCs. The problem is that not every area has one and that makes it difficult to estimate an accurate population, where often the geography is loosely defined. A list does exist on StatsWales of the current 735 CTCs.

https://statswales.gov.wales/Catalogue/Local-Government/Finance/Council-Tax/Levels/community-council-precepts-by-community-council

It only returns council tax and housing information, please supply something more robust and informative.

The CTCs can come and go under their constitutions, so the number can change slightly year on year. It should generally be between 730 and 740 however.

If available, please supply each CTC's population, by single year of age and gender, identified by local authority for the last 3 years.

Thank you for your request.

While we provide information about parishes, which can be seen by accessing the following link to a previous FOI response, unfortunately, we do not hold a list of community or parish councils, so are unable to cross-reference our published parish data with those council areas.

The Welsh Government may be better placed to help about how the parishes might map to the community councils. Please see the following link to their website for their contact information: https://gov.wales/contact-us
