You asked
Could you provide details of the competitive tender which has led the ONS to work with Glenigan Limited on construction statistics over the last few years?
Specifically, I am interested in the brief for the work, who else bidded for the work, how Glenigan met the brief and the rationale for why they were selected ahead of other bidders?
I'd also like to know the length and value of the contract.

Thank you for your request.
Please see the following answers to your questions.
1. During early market engagement with suppliers, it was apparent that the data would be provided at no cost therefore no competitive tender was conducted.
2. As above, there were no bidders as there was no tender. Nonetheless, the data has undergone thorough analysis to determine suitability using a Quality Assurance of Administrative Data (QAAD) report as set out by the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR). Further information can be found in the QAAD which is published on the ONS website.
3. There is no contract in place as the data are provided at no cost and are not currently used directly in any official statistics.
