Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding the official recorded UK population for March 2020, December 2020 and the most up to date record of the UK population.
We publish mid-year population estimates on an annual basis, and the latest available are for Mid-2019. Under Mid-2019: April 2020 local authority district codes, click on and open the xls file, then click on MYE2 - Persons - Population estimates: Persons by single year of age and sex for local authorities in the UK, mid-2019. The data for the UK can be found on row 6. The Mid-2020 Population estimates are due to be released on 25 June 2020. Please find attached a link to our release calendar. Please also find attached a link to our Early indicators of UK population size and age structure: 2020, these include a December 2020 indication.
At present, population estimates for the UK are produced on an annual mid-year basis only and this data is not produced on a monthly basis.
