1. How many students and staff have had coronavirus

In the data tables accompanying our latest weekly bulletin you can find:

  • Modelled positivity rates by age and school year (tab 1g)
  • 14-day weighted positivity rates by age and school year (tab 1h)

We have also produced the following analysis by occupation:

Additionally we have published a bulletin on the Schools Infection Survey showing for the 105 sampled schools in the period 3-19 November 2020:

  • Pupils in primary and secondary schools testing positive for COVID-19 infection
  • Staff in primary and secondary schools testing positive for COVID-19 infection
  • Prevalence of current infection within sampled schools

2. How many have been hospitalised due to COVID-19

The data we hold on COVID-19 hospitalisation in the following bulletin, COVID-19 weekly insights: Latest health indicators in England, are data that we receive from Public Health England (PHE). They would therefore be better placed to assist with your query and can be contacted via email at wn_coronavirus@phe.gov.uk.

3. How many have died from COVID-19

The latest available publication available showing COVID-19 deaths by occupation is available via the following link: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/causesofdeath/bulletins/coronaviruscovid19relateddeathsbyoccupationenglandandwales/deathsregisteredbetween9marchand28december2020

At this current time, we do not hold data specific to student deaths.

However, COVID-19 deaths by 5-year age band are available within the following weekly datasets: Deaths Registered Weekly Dataset.
