2015 to 2021 data
The referenced dataset is a user requested dataset which has been created as part of a customer request. We can update this dataset with deaths registered due to suicide by specific occupation in England and Wales for 2015 to 2021 as a bespoke request.
Special extract and tabulations of mortality are available to order from the Health Analysis and Pandemic Insight Customer Services Team. This service is subject to disclosure control, legal frameworks, resources and agreement to costs under the ONS Charging Policy.

We also publish suicides by occupation without age disaggregation in table 4 of Suicide by occupation, England and Wales, 2011 to 2021 registrations, which may be helpful.
2022 data
Suicide by occupation registrations for 2022 will be released in September 2023, to allow the inclusion of late registrations, which are deaths referred for Coroner investigation. Following this, data will be available to order via our bespoke output route.
