Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request.
In 2018, there were 270 banks and 9,090 bank branches.
The time series analysis you require can be created as part of our IDBR bespoke analysis service. Analyses such as these would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and would therefore be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs where appropriate.
