I would like to know how many babies have been registered in Nottinghamshire with the name Robin or Robyn from 1 January 1973 until today.

Prior to 1996, data relating to Baby Names in England and Wales was published by the General Register Office (GRO). We have released the following publication, Top 100 baby names in England and Wales: historical data, which is a historic data set with the top 100 names every 10 years. As this is not our data, we cannot provide further disaggregation such as geographical breakdown or search for names which are not featured in the top 100. We do not hold data in scope of your request for the period between 1974 and 1996. The GRO may be better placed to help with this part of your request. The following datasets Baby names for boys in England and Wales and Baby names for girls in England and Wales hold regional data from 1996 on an annual basis but we only publish the top 10 names by region.
We have also published the following user requested dataset: Baby names of boys and girls by region, England and Wales, 2001 to 2021. Nottinghamshire would fall under the East Midlands region E12000004.
