Please could I request the following information: The number of babies born in England and Wales on the 6 May 2023 whose first name was registered as 'Charles' or 'Charlie'.

We do not currently hold data on baby names for 6 May 2023, as we have not yet received data for Q2 of 2023.
Baby names are published annually in the following publication: Baby names in England and Wales. 2022 data will be published in Quarter 4 of 2023. 2024 data will be published in August/September 2024, once we have received and processed all the data for 2023.
This publication does not provide baby names by specific dates of birth. However, once we have updated this publication with 2023 data, baby names by specific date can be requested via our bespoke services route. Such services are subject to legal frameworks, resources and agreement of costs, subject to our charging policy. If you would like to discuss the provision of this information at this later date, please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk.
