Please provide migration data flows from developing countries and stock data in the UK from 1995 to 2017 by country.

We publish a useful table of contents where you can find links to migration flow data and stock data.
For migration flows to/from the United Kingdom by individual country of birth/citizenship, click on the table of contents and find a tab labelled ‘IPS 4-series’. Within this tab you will then find a link to table 4.06 (IPS Country of Birth by Citizenship). The data available here is from 2000 to 2017. Within each file, tab 4.06 B, C and D will be the most helpful depending on which countries are of interest to you.
For data prior to 2000 we would need to do a special extract and tabulation of the data. In order to do this, we would need to know details of which specific countries you are interested in. Any data ordered is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate. Please contact us directly, with a details of specific countries, on pop.info@ons.gov.uk but please be aware there may be a charge. You can find information on our charging policy here.
For stocks data find the ‘Publication tables’ tab in the table of contents and click on ‘Population by country of birth and nationality underlying datasheets’ in row 107. Within this file, tables A and B show data for individual countries by country of birth and tables C and D are by nationality. This data is also only available from us from 2000 to 2017.
Stocks data prior to 2000 may also be available to order, again subject to the same conditions and charging policy. Such enquiries should be made to pop.info@ons.gov.uk. As the additional stocks and migration flows data is available to you via this route, we consider that s.21(1) applies to this request and the information does not have to be supplied under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. S.21(1) is an absolute exemption and no consideration of the public interest test needs to be applied.
