Please could you provide me with the statistics of medical staff killed whilst serving in the armed forces? I would like the annual number from 1900 to present if possible.
If you are able to break this down any further, by rank, service, type of death, that would be much appreciated.

We are responsible for the production of mortality statistics for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. The occupation of the deceased is stated on the death certificate and is coded using the Standard Occupation Classification. Unfortunately, the classification does not reach the level of granularity that you require, therefore this is information not held.
