Median property debt and financial debt by age 2014 to 2020

You asked

I require data on households’ median holdings of financial debt and mortgage debt (both in £ terms), split by age group, for each of the following iterations of the Wealth and Assets Survey:

• June 2014 – July 2016
• April 2016 – March 2018
• April 2018 – March 2020

I hope this data can be provided in Excel format with two columns for each debt category for each of the three Wealth and Asset Surveys discussed above. To the extent possible, I hope this data can be provided split by the following age groups:

• 16 – 24-year-olds
• 25 – 34-year-olds
• 35 – 44-year-olds
• 45 – 54-year-olds
• 55 – 64-year-olds
• 65+ year olds

The associated download 'Median property debt and financial debt by age 2014 to 2020.xlsx' contains median property debt and financial debt by specified age groups for the Wealth and Assets Survey periods June 2014 to July 2016, April 2016 to March 2018 and April 2018 to March 2020.  

Please note median property debt for those aged 16 to 24 requested has not been reported in any of the periods. These values are considered unreliable due to low unweighted counts.
